Nice buy!! Stand by your plan to clean it up, check it out and drive it. I drive my "rat rod" '57 Nomad whenever I get a chance. It is mechanically sound, but could sure look better. I do a little at a time and the car is always drveable except for very short periods of time to accomplish a particular project. Yours looks original and unmolested and that is something you do not see nowadays. Take lots of pictures, and then lots more. I, for one, would love to see details of the interior, especially in the cargo area. I have yet to see one that was in its original state, i.e., before restoration. Over the last couple of years, I have had to find almost all of the interior moldings because they were missing when I got the car. I did not know exactly what I was missing, so I did not know what to buy. There were no readily available reference sources to use. Little things, like where the rear switch for the interior light mounts is a puzzle if it was not there. I have found that some of the parts for the '57 are slightly different than those used on the '55-'56 Nomads. It is a learning experience.

I'd be glad to post more pictures if I could figure out how. I've uploaded them to the site, but can't figure out how to include them in my posts.

Steve,
Just go to the album and open the picture. (Do this with a second browser open.)Then hit the right mouse key and "copy". Then go to your post and click on "insert image" and do a right blank "paste" over the hhtp://. When you hit submit your pic will be inserted. Hope that helps. Don

Very nice find. It looks like those hidden barn finds do exist yet!
