Default day 1 pics... it begins

finally sitting in the garage. the work begins now. I'll be ordering a power disc swap for the front, a new bushing set, a full wiring harness, a new column, and a poor mans steering kit shortly. Have a body man coming out tomarrow to look her over, but apart from a couple quarter size rust holes and one patch (all in the floor, drivers side), she looks pretty good. With a 3 year old and a 3 week old, work will be slow, but i got her now... so who cares how long it takes

p.s. somebody tell me how to add these as clickable thumbnails... sorry

oh yeah, i do have the guage cluster and the headlight chrome, but other than that, what you see is what i got. Any spare parts laying around you're willing to part with that i may use, send me a pm. It has standard pedals in it, but I want to go automatic... anyone going standard and want to trade?
thanx

The pedal support is the same for manual and auto. All you have to do is slide the pedals out to remove the clutch. I think you can use the same brake pedal, but I'm not sure. Seems like there is a larger one available too.

Looks like you got a nice, solid car. Lucky guy.

Troy i just removed the clutch pedal from mine and kept using the same brake arm that was on it so no need to look for another pedal assembly, unless you just want to spend money. LOL The 57 looks pretty good for a starting point.

Not a bad looking start!! I use Easy Thumbnails from www.fookes.com You can pick the size of the thumbnails you want to use. Very easy to use.

Thanks guys... i'm just so stinkin revved to go that i can't wait for my parts to arrive... guess i should order them huh...lol. Browsing vendor sites and waiting for catalogs at the moment. Might possibly take advantage of the 10% discount on brake set-ups from Ecklers this weekend... any drawbacks?

Very nice start! I have a few trim pieces left over from my 57' , I'll have to round them up. I'll probably post them up and give the members of this forum first grab before I go to e-bay..
