This took me all day on Monday to get it where it is,I really dont think I can get it any better, man those repro parts are crap
![]() Today I install my new air vents, this didnt go to bad,but the templet sure isnt much ,then I welded up a few cracks and modified some of the holes in the dash, a few were a little off to fit the instrument cluster ![]() |

Is the back bumper an illusion or is the right side cocked over to the outside a little? I haven`t heard much good about any of the repro parts. I call them wannabe parts because they want to be like the originals. But in a lot of instances we have no other choice. Hang in there and do the best you can.

You could slot the holes out some in the up and down direction and could prabably aleviate some of that. Just a thought.

The center bar is pretty much on the money but the ends are way off center and to fat sideways, plus vertical is also off,I did all the hole triming I could do, looking at the passenger side the end closer to the quarter was hanging out 3/4"
so today I install the tailights and there off center with the bumper ends, drivers side 1/4", passenger side 3/8" thats not counting vertical,I take apart the new bumper and find an old center to start hacking on, this is a pic of where I was at ![]() and this is where I ended ![]() now to find a good chromer that wont lose my core and does a good job |

Yes they are and I had to do a lot to get them in there, when I first set up the new quarters I used the original taillights, when I got the new taillights I had to move a few things, one thing that bothers me is what if down the road I need another set of taillights what are they going to fit like ? these are gene smiths lights and I had had them for 2 years and there allready starting to pit
you just cant win it seems |

With the prices they charge for these parts it doesn't sem right that they start getting crappy with out being exposed to the elements.
