We got my new 355 CID engine fired up today. We started it on an engine stand, out of the car. Wow, I've still got this goofy smile on my face.
She fired right up, no leaks, great oil pressure (60+ lbs), runs 185 degrees cool, sounds amazing through the headers and has one a nasty cam lope at an idle. I can't wait to get it in the car. A little more clean-up & some fresh paint in the engine bay and into the 57 she goes. Many thanks to my gear head buddies...Chad (The Brain Child) for building a great and functional engine stand, his dad Mike, (Tarheel55) a great friend & inspiration and Kato for being the most knowledgeable gear head in the group. I don't think I could do this stuff with out their help and encouragement. ![]()

David,
I bet everyone on the project had big smiles to hear that baby roar. Can't wait to see you get it in the 57 and start having it move on it's own power. I bet it was a truly good day for you all. BUDDii
