Talking Update StarCityGene Monday, 16 March

Cardiologist and surgeon have visited regulary. Cardiologist says he had a "mild" heart attack, releasing 600 units of enzymes into the blood. Then pointed out a "full" heart attack would release 6,000 units of enzymes into the blood. They've done several tests and find no damage, but I suspect more detailed tests may be in the future. He enjoyed the hospital's wide variety of clear liquids (no I don't mean liquior) until this AM when surgeon visited again and allowed him to order from the "regular" menu. Doc told him to begin strolling the hallways and I think I heard the word, "discharge" being spoken.

You've all been so supportative and I've shared many of your good wishes with Gene as I visit him in the evenings. He always wants to know what you're saying. Thank you so much. Our Lord's grace is sufficient for our needs.

That's good new Jean, Thanks.

Yes, the word "discharge" makes the spirit perk quite a bit. Glad it was somewhat mild and I hope Gene makes a full recovery. Prayers sent from Washington state. dont forget to take care of yourself as well.

Mom just had a slight heart attack. The doctor called it a "Takutsubo" attack due to the japanese doctor who discovered it. A very rare one where the heart ventricle expands, instead of clinching down. even rarer in women, usually women rarley feel a heart attack, very slight pains associated. Mom said this was nothing like that, it was full on pain. she said it was worse than childbirth (mom has had 4 kids, she is 72 this year). the doctors say there was very little damage to the muscle (thank god).

I spent 4 days down at OHSU, and at that point I was ready to be discharged as well as her. those doctors weren't moving fast enough for me, so I was riding herd on them, keeping tabs.

That is good news indeed! It's almost spring and I am sure Gene will be out driving his '57 real soon.

That's great I'm sure before long I'll be up to see him and buy more parts. When he gets home make sure you make his favorite dish .... Chicken broth soup LOL
