Default ITS ALIVE

Got to play with the 57 for about an hour tonight...
Pulled the accel distributer and disconnected the msd 6al (think its toast) and dropped in a mallory unilite thats been collecting dust in the garage for awhile now... fired up first shot! runs strong and sounds tight, desperatly in need of header gaskets too, but what should i have expected out of a car that hasn't run in 4 years? LOL all in all, i couldn't be happier. now i just need to find my camera cord so i can upload some pics for you guys.

Congratulations on getting her fired up and on the first try to boot. You'll have an excuse for being grumpy from the lack of sleep being excited

I vote for a name change like "Snappy1957".......

Must be great to hear it run again. Thanks for sharing. Good luck with uploading some pics.

Congrats!

If you only want to do those header gaskets once Grumpy, use these.
http://www.remflex.com/

They make collector gaskets as well, I can vouch for both of them.
Made in the USA.

Keith.

Grumpy, I know how you feel , I cranked my 61 vette 3 weeks ago for the first time since 1988. I still have lots of work but it will be easier just knowing it will be back on the road again soon. I have a 57 chevy 2dr ht I have been working on also, but I want to get my vette on the road first. I just need money money and time time. Ace
