Dores anyone know if you have to change the shocks when you lower the car with dropped spindles??? Who carrys the shocks or can you just go to an Auto Parts store and get longer or shorter ones? Supposedly the suspension isn't changed, but I read somewhere that they were afraid that the dropped spindles would bottom out the shocks???
I am installing dropped spindles on my 56' and the shocks are toast...so if you know about this...please let me know. Thanks! Julio |

I can only speak for myself, I also have two inch lowering spindles and used stock length shocks with not apparent issues.

The shock travel does not change at all with dropped spindles.
Even with cut springs, there is plenty of shock travel. The lower control arm hits the frame before the shock bottoms out. |

Duh, we all should have realized that. Lowering spindles only move the "axle" up two inches, nothing else really changes.
