So far on the SD
I have sanded & sanded again & again, put on some rust converter where needed, some cheap paint to protect it. Bought 2 gallons of bondo & filled in the rusty back end of the roof.1st picture is what it looked like. Bought & installed a brake booster & new MC.Started on the brake lines. Removed the front bumper so I could install the 4.3 & check fitment Bought a 4.3 V6 engine & tranny.(Bloodyknuckles is coming down in a coupla weeks to weld in motor mounts) Bought a wiring kit from gene.Havent started yet. Bought & installed floor pans. Bought & installed cheap indoor/outdoor carpet from Lowes. Covered the rear floor w/plywood w/cut outs in the wheel well & ran the plywood almost up to the back of the seats and will use the back seat floor area for tools & storage w/a door to get to it. Bought new brake hoses & wheel cylinders. Bought big & little chrome smoothies w/baby moons(really gettin' ahead of myself) Bought & installed a new passengers side rocker panel. All in all,I'm having a ball & have a reason to get out & do something every day. ![]()

I'm dreading this part. Do you have bodywork experience other than this project car? I'm thinking about replacing my own rockers, but I don't have much patience for bodywork...
...or a welder. ![]() TriFive has given me a renewed interest in my old car. Seeing other people's progress makes me want to work on mine. So, thanks for the inspiration, oldfart!

I have NO experience w/bodywork.I tell everyone that the car is a 57-50. A 57 chevy that looks good from 50 feet. ![]() I'm sure that there is someone on here that will guide you through the process. I just want to drive it & not have to worry about parts falling off.
