Sad to see all these old cars going to waste. Funny that the owners say their going to fix them up one day. Damn shame...
P.S. Have tissue ready. It might bring some tears. http://www.carsinbarns.com/ |

Went to New York to visit my friend Two Lane Wayne. He took me to a scrap yard. Must have been 2 dozen trifives in there. I took 110 pics of the cars, but didn't get most of them.

those of you who followed a thread a while back on that "other" forum will remember the car in the field....I went to the field a couple times and took photos and wondered why someone let it just sit there so long. We never figured out who owned it so we couldn't put in an offer for it. It had an old grease pencil for sale sign on one of the windows. So, it sat in a field "for sale" for some long long period of time. Seems like the owner would've seen it going to pot and did something.....

Even though some of the owners wont budge on selling, I'd bet some will. If It wasn't for some of these "NO! she aint fur sale!!!!I'm gonna fix 'er up someday" poeple. There probably wouldn't be as many in existance today? I look at it like.........their just storing it temporarily waiting for the right guy to come along and take it off their hands! It is sad to know some wont make it though.

Individually owned 'wrecks' have a chance to be sold someday. It's the ones that sit in junk yards being ravaged by scavengers and the weather that scare me! (remember that junk yard site in Wyoming?)

I was drooling, but we only got to spend a couple of hours looking. Waynes friend had to leave so we did too. 80% of the cars in there were 70's and earlier.

I spoke to the guy in Wyoming at www.wyomingclassiccars.com and he said a good chunk of the cars were sold already. It almost keeps me awake at night thinking about cars sitting out there all alone and not in my garage where I can keep them warm and rust free.
