i just got a 55 new car for me as my other chevy was a 1932. could anyone tell me if a 15x7 wheel was standard on the belair 2 door sedan? thanks

Hello Joseph, welcome to trifive. I believe that the 55 stock wheel was 15", but not sure if the stock width was 7". It sounds right to me but my car is a 57 (which used a 14" wheel) so I'm not real familiar with the 55. To be sure someone here will know and chime in.

thanks for the warm welcome and the info on the wheels. i didn't even see the car yet ,bought it last week and now it is in west virginia in a enclosed trailer waiting for repairs to the tow vehicle. really frustrating.

Welcome to trifive Joseph... I bought a restored 62 belair a couple of years ago and shipped it here in the midwest from California in an enclosed trailer and that driver was going through snow storm after hail storm to crap storm and I was sure glad my car was enclosed safely....
