Hi, I have a 1 car garage & want to paint my 57 in it. I'm thinking of using wheel dollies, push car to one side then paint, when done push to other side.
Im 5'7" tall & cant reach to top middle section of car, I'm thinking of a bench to walk on to paint. Well with very little room & tryin to paint from top to bottom & both sides I got no other thoughts. Cant set up a tent like I did at the old house, cuz too close to new house & if I could I got cement on one side. no way to stake it down. Any advice would help. ![]() Yes I keep kicking myself why did I buy this house. lol Thanks Tom

Tom,
I tried that once in a single car garage, and found there was not suffecient ventilation, and I ended up with more overspray the you would believe. That is not counting that I was not dealing with your dolly idea, as I am 6'2" and did not have that problem........................to put it short. It was a disaster, and I had to wait till it dried, sand it all down, and find a larger space to redo it.....color sanding was not even an option....for this mess.. My .02 ![]()

Hi Tom. With our economy like it is, unfortunately there are a number of "vacant" garages here and there. Maybe you could rent/borrow some space locally. There are also some paint booths that do rent out to "do-it-yourselfers". Sometimes liability is an issue...worth a try. Good Luck! JIM.

Perhaps get the car ready to shoot, and have a body shop do the spraying?? What you'd spend doing that, would be CHEAP, compared to what you'll find yourself with at home!
