Hey guys,
Been looking to do a cam swap this winter but got lost in the maze of sbc cams available.Need help. ![]() Here is what I'm working with: 327 block #3782870 std., 2 bolt main, stock piston #3795704 (flat top w/4valve reliefs), camel hump 64cc #3782461 heads (don't know if 1.94 or 2.02 valves), (8.7-9.75 compression?),heads still on engine, Edelbrock Performer EPS (Idle to 5500 RPM) intake, Holley 650 dp., Patriot 1-5/8" tube headers, 2-1/2" Flowmaster duals to the rear, 200-4r trans w/2000 TCI stall, 3.89 gears. 27.5" tall rear tires. Hope I didn't leave anything out. I wanted something like the Thumpr series cams, but..... any feedback? Primarly street driven, the odd burnout. ![]() Will also have manual 4wdb so I don't think vacuum is a concern. Appreciate any help or tested combinations. ![]()

Give Comp Cam's a call and give them all your info, and what you want to do in the long run with the ride, and they can tell you what would be the best setup cam wise to use.......

I like the Comp Cams 280 magnum in my 327 second 327 I have run this cam in
the only thing I would recomend is a higher stahl converter than stock and long slot or roller rockers Great cam great sound I have pretty much the same set up you have and it runs very well and sounds great I am running a muncie 4speed just make sure what if you put in a flat tappet cam to follow the cam manufacturers recomendation especially with the zinc being reduced in the oils of today comp cams recomends 15/40 shell rotella t and a bottle of their #159 broke in two cams that way this year with great success

If you go to the Comp Cam site, they have a cam selection program that you can download. You put in all your engine particulars, select the type cam (hydraulic, mechanical, etc) and it chooses the best cams for the application, gives the specs for each and rates each for performance. Also allows you to see the expected HP for each selection. Makes choosing easy even if you choose another brand with the same specs. Good luck.

Here is one i always liked to run, http://www.jegs.com/p/Comp-Cams/Comp...46650/10002/-1 I used jegs just for reference so you may do better price wise some where else. If you just type in 12-211-2 at google it will bring up information.
