Well today (at 12 noon) is the day I start drinking that foul stuff to "clean me out" cause at 7 in the morning I get the ole famous double shot of that embarassing event called "upper & lower". Whew, I do dread that stuff. Well at least its raining, so every body else will me miserible too. I'm told that I'll be to that little room on the side of the house that used to be way out in the back yard. ![]()

Mickey, best of luck to ya! You'll be alright.
I dunno if it'll help you or not, but let me say this, I've had them run that water hose down my mouth a few times to flush everything out, I just had a sore throat for a day or so, my Grandma just had the lower part done like you have too... She says its not nearly as bad as you think. Good luck running to the WC. Best wishes, hope your day isn't all bad.

I've had both, I even did the colonoscopy WITHOUT being sedated!! Got to watch the whole thing on the screen. Not everyday you get to look up your a55!!!
Don't worry about it at all. The Dr's and Nurses do it everyday so the embarresment is nil. Good luck!

I wanted to be awake for the endoscopy because I wanted to see into my stomach, but the Dr said NO WAY! But I also had to have a tube ran through my nose into my stomach to test the acid level and I was wide awake for that. That's a little wierd as they feed a pencil sized tube into your nose, down your throat and you can feel it curl up in your stomach!!
I had a broken tooth once from a fight and had to have it drilled and so forth for a cap. I told them NO Novacain! BIG MISTAKE! OUCH. Never do that....always get the novacain!
