I recently posted some items in the classified section. All items are best offer and you choose the price. I receive an offer on an item, I email them accepting the offer and disclose the shipping costs which are minimal. Then I never hear from them again. Are they fishing, playing games? Have any of you experienced this? I asked if they changed their mind, let me know so I can take the next offer, mystery person will not even give me the courtesy of answering my question. Just venting.

Some people are just slugs.

Others are kids or have a kid mentality and aren't going to get anything from you if you give it away. They are just playing on the internet.

Others are busy or forgetful.

I'd never hold an item until they reply saying they want it and make arrangement to pay.

I guess that's why I hoard my stuff and just let it lay, I don't like dealing with people like that. Little tolerance.

I don't have a lot of respect for salesmen in some ways, but on the other hand you've got to put up with a lot of negatives to be one, and that takes an attitude that puts up with a lot of garbage without letting it get to you.

I run an internet business. It happens all the time to me. I don't worry about it at all. Like Rick said, I don't hold the item until payment arrangements have been made and the deal is really locked up. The internet is a strange place in many ways.
