Default Under tail light vee on 56 Nomad?

Happy Holidays, I got a pair of under tail light vees from my dad for Christmas for my 56 Nomad. The box from Danchuk part #384 says they are for a 55. I've seen 56's with em on, anybody know the correct answer as to what was factory GM for 56? Does your 56 Nomad have them and did you put them on? I've searched trifive and didn't see any thread. Any advice greatly appreciated!

Default 56 Nomad only

Morning,
V8 56 Nomad only, 55 & 56's are shaped different, I believe Danchuk etc. sell 56 V's. Nice looking Nomad you have there, do you belong to the CNA?
Regards,
56madman

morning 56 Madman, no I'm not in CNA, yet. I checked Danchuk online, no mention of 56 under tail light vees, only 55. Same w/Ecklers. You have more info? Much appreciated.

I think sheet 17.0 of the '56 assembly manual gives the instructions vor the under taillight "V". Sheet 17 is missing from the on-line manual. http://www.trifive.com/garage/56%20C...nual/221-1.gif . If you have a paper 56 manual that has sheet 17, you can compare original part #'s of the V's with the 55 manual. ....http://www.trifive.com/garage/55%20C...ual/221-13.gif

Try Cliff's Chevrolet Parts in Portland OR or John Chambers in Phoenix, 56 Nomads had them because thats the only place for a V on the back, 57 Nomads had a gold V below the Nomad emblem on the tailgate. For the club check out chevynomadclub.com

Thanks Don and 56madman, I have the 56 manual, my sheet 17 shows the wiring diagram for the blower motor. I went through it page by page, it doesn't show Nomad specific diagrams, so my guess is a Nomad specific diagram of the back end does not exist. Mr. Nomad has part #10889 "56 Nomad V8 emblems" which look to be correct, for $60.00. Also found on Cliff's Classic Chev website part #L-149 "Nomad rear V-8 emblems" for $95.00., but no picture. I've sent an inquiry e-mail to both, if they're the same I'll go with the $60. and call it a day. Now if I only new exactly where to drill the holes....

My Nomad had these from the factory. I think all 56 V8 Nomads had them, but I'm not sure.

Sheet 17 of RPO 221, V-8 Engine is referenced on Sheet 1 of the RPO 221 Section refering to the rear fender and lid instructions, apparently for wagons and Nomads as well as cars, but it's not in the on-line index.....http://www.trifive.com/garage/56%20Chevy%20index.htm
Does anybody have a RPO 221 sheet 17 in their 56 assembly manual?

The 55 assembly manual shows where to drill the holes for the 55 V's so maybe the 56 manual will tell where to drill, if someone has the page. ....http://www.trifive.com/garage/55%20C...ual/221-13.gif

I can't recall ever seeing these on anything but Nomads. Sure they would fit any 56, but I've looked through dozens of pics of hardtops and other models, and I've only found them on Nomads. IMO, these only came on V8 Nomads from the factory.

Here's some more $49.95:
