Well my 55 and 56 have been neglected! I haven't had enough time to give them!!! My 55 sets in the garage ready for me to drive it! I drive it maybe 4-5 times a year. If it was up to me I would just be happy with it setting in my living room beside me!

(wife wouldn't like the idea of the living room garage thing)

If I ever get a new shop built I want to build a show room for it and just leave it inside. If it never gets driven again it'll be OK. Just knowing its there makes me happy! Its actually to sentimental to me, I guess to drive it, worried some dummy will wreck it. That's one reason why I got the 56 was to make a DD out of it. But alas I haven't the time. 5 kids and two jobs, I stay business none the less.

You sound like i do about my 57. It is sitting in the shop and not messed with much lately. When i was slow i didn`t feel like working on it since i knew i didn`t want to spend any money. And now that things are picking back up i`m getting too busy and no time to work on it or else i`m give out in the evening.

I don't know maybe I am scared to drive it? After all it was my great grandfathers only car he ever owned, and I never got to meet him as he died before I was born. So its my family heirloom.

My old 1st sgt saw his retirement fund going down and decided to buy a 57 Chev with some of it. He said at least he can see it and put his hands on it even if he doesn't drive it!
