We just got a 1957 4 door, hard top Bel Air and we are thinking about selling it. We honestly have no need for it....got it in a trade. It is a beautiful car. The interior is mostly done and the engine is torn apart. The exterior is very nice with just a couple of small scratches that just need some touch up. It has all of the chrome. The back passengers window is cracked. It has disc brakes and the original engine that needs to be rebuilt. We also have I believe 2 other engines. How much would a car like that be worth? We have no idea how much to ask for it. The prices are all over the place on the internet. I can't find a car in even the same class as this one so I'm not sure what to ask for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
hi ep and welcome. good to have you here. without pics and more info it will be hard to give a price. is it a driver? hows the floors, frame and body (rot, rust, ect.)? lots of things to take into consideration. :stupido2: maybe $3000-$5000.

Is the car a 4 door post car or is it a 4 door hardtop? I'd be keen to see some pics, as I guide I bought mine (4dr Hardtop)in Las Vegas, she has factory power steer, power brakes and an electric wiper, she didn't run (carby was all blocked up) and she has some descent holes in her floors, externally the body is good and the stainless is exceptional but she needs a complete respray and a new interior kit (the PO put in a complete red velour interior, headling and all, felt like you were in a coffin!) and I bought her for the pricely sum of $3500US, that was about 2 years ago now.
Don't know if that helps or not but pictures will definately tell part of the story, depeding on the rust will dictate the price, if it's a 4 dr hardtop and some of the parts they don't currently repro are poor it could be a tough and expensive build.
Just my 2 cents.
Not sure what they are worth myself, but I have recently acquired one myself. I got lucky because it is a barn find. This is exactly how I found it except the wheels; I just put them on the other day. The car needs some work, mainly interior work, but it still needs the back bumper rechromed, and a paint job. The engine runs great. It has a 350 with a two speed Power Glide tranny. Body is solid, and the only two holes have been fixed with welded in metal. Needs a few things under the hood like blower fan, blower box, and heater core hoses. Just got started fixing it up and would love any suggestions. An estimate of value would also be nice.
