I just put on a new set of hood springs on my 56. The old ones were letting the hood shut at the slightest gust of wind. I put on the new ones and when I popped the hood, it almost jumped out of my hand!! That was $26 bucks well spent. New set $26.00. Not hitting your head on the hood cause its sagging - PRICELESS

That's what I was thinking, but didn't want to mislead anyone. Maybe you could just dilute a couple of v****a in a gallon of water and dip the old springs in it? LOL! Dave

Good advice, if you need more, put some flat washers or coins between the coils. They'll fall right out when you shut the hood. |
