Default How to install 1956 back glass with stainless

My girlfriends dad is in the process of putting in the back glass in his 1956 210, he got to looking at everything and he noticed that there is some clips back there and that stainless goes around the window. He cant find any information on how to install the back glass and wanted me to ask on here, he has put the back glass in a 55 before with out stainless and he just doesnt want to mess anything up and do something wrong. So if anyone has any information for me to relay to him on how to install the backl glass that would be great.

Thanks
Billy

Billy the clips go on the pinch weld lip first, add a few extra clips in the curved corners. Then install the back glass.

What the *#*# am I doing wrong , I can not get my stainless to snap in tight. I have the help of a pro glass guy, new T&N seal purchased direct from T&N ,22 new clips from Eckler and I've tried 2 sets of mouldings. Anyone got any ideas we're stumped.

it is possible that the rubber might be a little thicker a couple thousands thicker can make all the difference. I bought mine from precision and it took a little work in the corners.

Thumbs up

3rd time's a charm, I finally got my stainless to snap down ! One pointer that I discovered was to remove the trunk lid and stand in the trunk, it's alot easier to bair down on the glass to seat the stainless
