Got the 2" drop spindels, power brakes disc front and drum in rear all installed on the 55 last week. What a difference, sure makes me feel better about getting it on the road with good brakes. Went ahead and rebuilt the front end while we had the spindels off, also ran new lines all the way, front and rear. Added dual master cylinder and the works, even replaced the leaky pinion seal in the rear. Also installed a few new cosmetic items like new rear view mirror, door mirror, even new hood stops and front shocks. Now i am working on re painting the interior window trim pieces, just finished the drivers door next will be passenger side. Will try to get to rear shocks this week end. Just getting ready for some serious fall cruisin, after all thats what i bought her for to have fun with and make some improvements along the way, which just doubles the fun. I dont even think i will paint it for now because i can set on the fender if i waunt to, or if some one decides to lean against it its not a big deal being its just primmer. After i get all the mecanical aspects like i waunt them, then i will strip it down and put the original neptune green back on it.

Looking good it's all the little things that never get done. You did not say if you added power to your brakes. Keep up the good work and enjoy the ride

Yes, its power brakes, its been so hot here in Chattanooga lately i dont even have much of an appetite, so i usually just work through lunch. The temp today was 102 ,factor in our high humidity level here in the south and that puts the heat index at some very high and seriously dangerous levels.
