My name is Brandon Kawa, the reason I am writing this is to ask for your help to finish a project that I have worked on for almost 10 years It all started after my dad had an accident at work. The accident my father had at work rendered him disabled. At this time I tried to get help from people to help him restore his car, it is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air 2 door. After awhile we had
received products to help restore the car and we began working on the car to finish it. In March of 2005, my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I really started to press for more help with the car because I wanted to get it done for him because he will never be able to finish himself. I continued to send more letters and was actually contacted by the show 3 Wishes on NBC. They had picked my story to grant a wish. After sending in the video the show folded. I continued to press on though and in August my father had surgery for his prostate cancer. After a year of recovery he is doing much better. This is where your help comes in. In June of 2006 I was contacted by Mr. Jim Barber who is the president of S.E.M.A. He told me that they had received one of my letters asking for help and the board of directors of S.E.M.A. and A.R.M.O. had said they would like to do whatever they could to help restore the car. The only thing they need is an endorsement from another entity to say that it is a worthwhile cause. They are willing to give any parts, labor, time, etc. to complete the car. They are not asking for anything other than an endorsement and help with organization of the project. I have gotten the endorsement of the AFL-CIO and need help with organizing and coordination of the SEMA members whom want to help.If you or anyone you know can help PLEASE let me know. I feel this is a worthwhile endeavor because my father has managed to overcome a lot of adversity over the years. I feel that he should finally be able to enjoy the car that he began to restore many years ago. Thank you for your time and consideration. Thank You Again, Brandon Kawa If you have any questions about this project you can contact me at(716) 892-1232. Email is my57chevy@juno.com |
