I think it was on you tube where Danchuk used a nearby Vendor to Acid Dip their bodies. Can anyone tell me the name of that company and what it costs? I live in La Habra.

I had my 55 post done at Strip Clean Co. 5105 W. First St. Santa Ana, CA 92703, 714 775 7797. They price per car and condition. Very happy with the job. It's like working on a brand new body. Except for all the rot that I couldn't see under the original paint.

Say have any of your guys got any Acid dip before/after photos of your projects. Were you satisfied with the amount of metal that was removed? Too much/ Too little. Was there an "amount of time" it was immersed that was related to how much metal was removed? Thanks to all.

First of all it is not acid it is the reverse, it is an alkcoloyd (can't spell that word) bath, but I'm sure you get the meaning. When a car is dipped it is dipped untill the alky has done its job. It does not eat good metal, it only eats rust, bondo, paint, calking, aluminum and other things that I can't recall all of them. If you bring a car out of the bath too early you will see rust that has not been dealt with. The swiss cheese you sometimes see when a car comes out of the bath, was there before the bath. The bath did not cause that. Most of thewse places apply some kind of conditioner that prolong the car from immediate rust and that conditioner must be dealt with prior to painting
