Default RIP David Nelson

Ricky's brother!

Sad news this morning. Lost him due to colon cancer. Hope all you guys have been checked! I had polips 15 years ago and they removed 18 inches of my small intestine. The problems I've had since are sure better than the alternative.

Don

So sorry to hear about your loss. I get checked on a regular basis. Its a lot easier to have polyups removed then just let things go. pretty much a painless ordeal. good way to save your life.

My deepest thoughts and prayers to family and friends. My mom had advanced colon cancer at the age of 52 back in the early 60's and after many surgeries and being given last rites in the hospital some how survived to lead a pretty good life till her passing of natural causes in 1996. I go in every 24 months and have the test done.

Sad news. I grew up watching the TV show "Ozzie and Harriet" Most today don't know what that show was. Every one wanted to be Rickie Nelson, Poor David somehow seem to get lost in the show. I guess they're all gone now.

Lots of people are afraid to get screened for colon cancer. I put it off for 8 years and when I finally went I had some issues. Sure wish I had gone sooner. Guys and Gals...It's the easiest exam I have ever had done, and I had a women Doctor to boot! Looking forward to seeing her again in November. PLEASE DON"T PUT THIS OFF!

Well, If you don't lke the idea of getting tested, call me and I'll tell you about some tests that you'll really hate! I was diagnosed with colon cancer in Aug '09, and just finally got completely released by the surgeon YESTERDAY! I'm VERY lucky to be alive. I still need to see the Oncologist every 4 months. GET TESTED.........I missed almost a year of work because I put off getting tested, and lost 12 inches of colon..........

I agree, get checked. Your life depends on it. My Dad died from it. I had polyps when checked at 42. They plucked them off and I was good the next time 5 years later. I go back in a couple years again. Routine maintenace like the Chevy!
