Default parts not in stock

Why is it Danchuk does not tell you they don't have the part in stock until you get part of your order. You open it up and it is not all there. Why don't you tell us when we are placing the order, so we can get it elsewhere?

I think you answered your own question Greg,,,,
" Because they don't want you to get it elsewhere "......IMO

Yup. Here's how my conversations go with whoever I order anything from:

[rrrrrrrrrrin "Year One, this is Wendy."
Me: "Yeah, Hi Wendy. I'd like to see if parts are in stock and place an order, and I do have a rather large order to fill, if I do say so myself!"
YO: "OK, go ahead"
Me: "#18376GT, 1956 Chevrolet Unobtanium"
YO: "Oh, I'm seeing that's on back order, but should be getting more in this Nevuary":
Me: "OK, no thanks. Have a nice day" [click]

And then I continue down the vendor list. Not in stock, I don't order it.

Cheers

Danchuk has always mentioned during my order if an item was out or not. Danchuk is not nearly as bad as some of these places. THE WORST is probably Classic Industries, I can bet they don't have at least 50% of their catalogue in stock, at any given time.
Fortunately I don't order from Danchuk or anyone else that often, I tend to pick parts as i go along at Swaps and Ebay, as long as the price is good and many vendors on Ebay are beating the crap out of Danchuk and the others. But these guys (Danchuk etc) serve a usful purpose by having a lot of parts that we couldn't get oterwise.

Default Danchuk

Two days ago I called Danchuk to check if a one piece front bumper was in stock. They checked the part number and said that they were not in stock, but that they had a large quantity at chrome plate. They put me on their wait list and said that they would call me when the part was available. The salesman said I would not be charged until the part shipped. Sounds good to me.
