Default Help - 670 p/s bracket for long water pump setup

I am installing a 670 (500 series) p/s kit from CCI. The kit includes a pump bracket for a short water pump. Well, I have a long water pump which I would like to keep. You see, my alu rad is in the 6 cyl position with a shroud and fan clutch. I would like to keep this cooling setup for the 383 motor. CCI doesn't have a bracket solution.

What have you guys done bracket-wize. I assume the whole issue is about pulley alignment and maybe clearance issues.

You might look on Alan Groves site and see what he has. http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/

Bill's Hot Rod has similar products to Alan Grove, you might have a look there too.

I guess part of this depends on the rest of your accessory drive setup. If you have a stock Chevy long water pump setup, the stock bracket for the setup you have should work too. You should be able to get a stock bracket from a Camaro/Chevelle supplier (look at 69 up parts), or look at 73 up pickup parts.

Krull.....What you need is the bracketry set-up for a 70-72 Camaro....CCI carries all the parts: http://www.rickscamaros.com/camaro-p...1970-1972.html

Thanks guys. I looked out at Alan Groves and they have a bracket and some good info about dimensions and pulley order. I will call them Monday.

Krull, I assume you have side engine mounts, not stock front mounts.
