Default Deer hunters

This weekend is our deer hunting opener, which means I get to wake my boys up at 5:00 AM to go out and freeze our butts off in hope of shooting a deer. Just kidding, what it really means to me is the fact that I get to spend an entire weekend with my two sons, Nate who is now 20 years old and my youngest Alex who is now 15 years old, in the woods with nothing but peace and quite. If we get a deer, that's a bonus, if we don't, it's no big deal. Don't get me wrong, I love the venison, but at this point in my life it's more about spending time with my boy's. Good luck to all of you hunters.
Tim

Our deer season is also coming up soon. Myself I gave up deer hunting a few years ago but my twin daughters have really got into it the last few years. Last year Dakota killed a nice 10 point. I get more enjoyment being with them more than hunting myself. Dad was with us last year when she shot her buck and I think he was beaming more than I was. We lost Dad last year on Dec. 26th and his deer rifle became hers shortly after. I hope she can get another big one this year with it. I know Dad will be looking down smiling. I will try and find a pic of her deer later and post it on here.

I love hunting with the Kids. My 11 year old G/S killed his first deer last weekend while hunting in Ga. He sent me pictures on his I-phone all smiles holding it's head up.

I use to enjoy hunting with my dad. We both liked venison, but if we didn't catch anything it was no big deal as that was our week-end together to catch up and bond. Since he passed, I have not gone hunting very often as I have no children, and as I said before, it was more about being together than the actual hunting.
I may go this year as our hunting season is coming up.

My 17 year old grand daughter has gotten into hunting with her future in laws and really loves it. First and only time I went deer hunting was in 1962. It was during the Cuban Crisis and went to jail in Roby, Texas. Game warden had no sense of humor.
