Default I like it

more input....what do you all think its really worth? I have just been thru motors, interiors, chrome, systems. etc., etc.
I am looking for a 55 or 56 project...nice one. Already speak Spanish too. And, I am close enough to get in trouble.
10m seems high.

Have you priced rebuilder/basketcase hardtops in awhile? 10k is about the average price and this one is supposed to be further along than that. If it is what it is described to be then i`d say 12-15k is about right.

To determine the real value of this car, you need to know how complete it is - "ready to put back together" might imply he has the parts but you don't know until that's verified. The completeness includes stainless trim, pot metal trim, bumpers, etc. Also interior and drivetrain.

The other thing that you need to know is whether it has rusty sheet metal, and you need to determine if any rust was bondo'd up instead of replacing the bad metal prior to the paint job.

You'd also want to know how straight the body is. It wouldn't be the first time paint was applied to a wavy body, or one full of bondo.

$10k is a bargain for a car with fresh paint on a properly prepared body. You have to assume that's not what you're buying until it's proven. And the seller says it's an 8 out of 10. That probably means it's much less.
