I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe any adhesive is used to install the gasket onto the windshield. It will stretch and hopefully stay. I believe there is a sealant or tape used between the rubber gasket and metal framework to keep the moisture out. The gasket is also grooved to accommodate the windshield moulding/brightwork that has to go on before installing the windshield. I think this would also depend on your model (for the moulding). Hope I wasn't too far off, Carmine.

You should use 3M strip caulk on any uneven places on the pinch weld, as well as around the wiper escutcheons.

Use 3M 8509 sealer anywhere you think you need it, like the gasket groove, but if everything fits, dry is ok.

DON'T use silicone. Or urethane adhesive like is used on late models.

I think there's a sticky post about windshield installation, maybe in the library forum.

Chevynut I purchased them @ T&N their Phone number is 704-788-1418 the price is $ 50 for front windshield gasket ,and $50 for back glass gasket plus shipping. That is for the 150 gasket may be more for belair or 210
