I'm looking for opinions on the most liked shocks that members have used with a rear shock crossmember. Now that I'm putting some road miles on my '55 210 I've learned pretty quickly that I need some shocks before I jar my teeth out.
A little about the car...front suspension is all rebuilt with new bushings. Rear suspension is stock with factory shackles. I do have a crossmember to eliminate mounting the top of the shocks in the original location. any recommendations or warnings of what not to use will be greatly appreciated |

If you like gas charged shocks rather than oil try KYB 343190. Autozone had mine in stock. These are long enough . AFter I installed mine I jacked the frame till rear was at full drop, then disconnected lower mount shock still had about 4 inches of travel left. They might even have a high pressure gas shock available.

Afco ''K'' series are good ones to consider, I have them on my '55, and I do not think you can go wrong with Monroe "Sensatrac", ''Reflex'', or 'Monro-matic plus" shocks.
