Default Oil Pressure Gauge

I could use some help with my oil pressure gauge. I am using the Custom Rod Gauges. They all work fine with the exception of the oil pressure. I turn on the key and it pegs. The sender has two terminals and I have swapped the wire to the gauge to both locations. With the sender being a two terminal is there another wire that sould be attached to the "extra" terminal?

One wire of the sender needs to go to ground.

Don may be right.

My Custom Rod Gauges oil pressure sender only has 1 terminal. I'd surmise that it's internally grounded. But if there's a second terminal it almost has to be ground.

Custom Rod Gauges uses VDO senders and movements. If you suspect a bad sender, then you can get the numbers off it and look at the VDO website and get a part number. Then you can get one at a place that sells VDO.

Getting some customer support from Custom Rod Gauges is reputed to be as hard as getting FEMA to New Orleans.

Thanks, I'll try a ground on it.

Ditto on any kind of a response from them. Absolutly no email replies. I have called them in the past about the proper sending unit for my fuel gauge took several tries to get results. The last was a some instructions that should have come with them. I had the gal fax them to me while I had her on the line.

Thanks again
