Does any one know how to trace a car I bought new in 1957 it was a Bel Aire 2 door hardtop with all the accessary youcould put on Sunvisor, Spot light Skirts ,rear antenna,Colonial Cream/Ivory ,Left the State of Penna 1969
and went South Serial # VC57B238515 Would be very interested in knowing its where abouts if any one should know Thanks gem5566 |

You could try carfax.com but I have no idea if the go back that far.

Did the car leave Pa. and go south, or did you? If you know the state it was last in, you might get info from the dept. of motor vehicles. Some of the on-line records sites might have some info for you.

I don`t think carfax goes back that far. I tried one awhile back and it said it didn`t have enough #`s,Terry.

I spoke to a private investigator the other day about this topic and he suggested carfax, but I think he's wrong. Like terry said, I don't think they go back that far. But it might be worth it to find a person, on-line or otherwise, who can do the records check for you. It'll cost a few bucks, but it might be worth it.
If you try carfax, let us know what you find out (i.e. whether it works or not)
