Starting to take the car apart this is the original 265 cubic Engine

Here i have strengthen the body with an X

Take the body of the Chassi

This is what an 50 years old chassi looks like.

Building a Rotisserie

Now we got the body upright and can see how much that have to be repaird

Before i started with the rust i took it to a shop that dipped the body in acid that removed all paint and bondo.

Heres one more picture after the acid bath.

After we removed all paint we painted the body with etching Primer.

I had to replace the rear part of the trunk.

The new parts is put in place.

i removed the sparetire well at the same time.

This is what it looks after i replaced both inner quarterpanels and the tailpan also.

Now we replaced all braces and the rocker panels.

Starting to replace the floor panels.

Here is the floor finish.

Im going to make the firewall as smooth as possible.

Starting to remove all spotwelds and there is a lot!

I also had to remove the spotwelds that was attach to the wheelhouse.

NO RETURN!! This was scary but i left a lot so i can fit the new panel before i cut more.

This is one nice repair just put a new panel over the old one.

Starting to repair the wheelhouse.

Doing some minitubbing to fit larger tires.

Just put some new sheetmetal in place.

Now i need to do more welding and grinding to make it nice.

Here is the wheelhouse ready and primer.

I also put some bodypaint on to protect and make the car little more queat.

Here have we welded the rear quater panel in place it fits pretty good.

Here is the fender prepeard with Tinning Butter.

A lot of Lead went on the fender.

Had to do some Leadwork where the 2 quarter panels meet.

Here is a picture of the rear of the new chassi.

The engine from the right side its a LS1 Corvette engine.

The engine is built by Turn Key Engine Supply in California.

The transmission is a 200 4R built by Art Caar at California Performance Transmission it should for 400+ Hp.

My new smooth bumpers have arrived.

I orded those bumpers from Bumper Shop in LA California.

This is what the Right quarter panel lookt like.

Not mutch to save, im going to replace it with a new panel.

Inside the trunk its not that much better.

Here i have removed the old wheelhouse and a pice of the quarter panel.

here is one shot from the inside of the car, its a big hole.

I also have to replace some metal round the C pillar.

Here is the inner wheelhouse done.

Starting replacing the door skin on passenger side.

Removed rust and paint it with primer and black top coat.

Here we are now some adjustments and i think it will be okej.
