The defroster duct wouldn’t fit into my sand blaster so I had to wire wheel and hand sand it to get the rust off. New paint inside and out and it’s ready to install under the dash.

Restoring the bigger parts

Through the winter I dug out and worked on the larger body parts like the inner fenders, hood and trunk lid. A lot of skim coating with body filler to hide the many rust pits.

Body work :-(

Body work will be a new adventure for me. There were some dents and rust holes that needed to be patched. Looks like this car had been hit once or twice but nothing too severe.
