What can I say it gets hot out there and I sweat like a whore in church. I've been on a diet and I have a self imposed goal of drinking 8 bottles of water a day so I have water bottles everywhere. Our county water tastes like drinking out of a swimming pool.

Adjusted driver's door to best possible location. cut rocker panel to widen. May start welding back in tomorrow depending on weather.

It takes self control. I cant tell you how many times I have wanted to push this thing off a cliff lol. On a brighter note, It is nice to be finalizing a few things even if it is something as boring as door gaps. I have not made them exactly like I want them because I felt like I need to allow for body flex since its a hardtop and will de driven on these ragged eastern NC roads but they still look better than some I've seen.

I haven't been able to mentally get over having to cut these new rockers and widen them. I had to add between 3/16 to 1/4 to both sides so at least they were evenly off lol.

Are your rockers repairable? Even if it is remotely feasible to cut up new rockers for patches to save yours I would consider that an option

Non salvageable but I did buy the new ones from Mutton hallow that look identical to the originals. I have however been paying attention to this area on different cars at car shows and sometimes the door at the rocker does not fit well. I do not know if in thee factory it was "close enough" or if us hot rodders have become anal about the fit of doors hood fenders deck lid etc. etc.

Well people keep trying to improve on how they do things and now want these cars to fit together like airplane parts. I want mine to fit together as good as possible but with what I have to work with its not gonna have the gaps of a Mercedes unfortunately . I did get my drivers door about as good as I can get it today. Working this weekend. Next I will fine tune the trunk alignment the best I can and then maybe prep and paint the trunk area.
