Goodness .. I met Charlie and his wife when we visited LA this time last year ... had my sons with me.

He had shown such interest in our trip (Seattle > LA and then to .au) and was always so kind and helpful through the forum.

We all met at their home and spent some hours – along with their crazy dogs! Chief gave the boys some Indian arrow head stones and told great stories about his heritage from areas out S. East and also a life lived working in the music scene and oil/gas rigs (I think it was?).

The same evening we were supposed to meet up again at a cruise-in, but ran late (and missed all but the end, and them), so headed back to theirs and chatted some more into the evening.

No doubt about it ... he was a GREAT GUY.

NB: He's wearing the t-shirt I had printed for our trip – was so pleased that he dug it!

Edit: Think I'll buy some Millers this evening a have a drink to his memory ... that's what he was out buying for us when we rolled up that afternoon.

Thanks for posting John. I corresponded quite a bit with him. My last PM with him was back in February. He had loaned me a magazine with a crazy picture of some guys working on a '55 Nomad. I made a couple of posters from it aqnd gave him a copy. He told me he liked it but was gonna pass it on to a friend of his that also had a '55 Nomad.

We ALL will miss Chief's postings here at TriFive... He always seemed to have a positive attitude, and most of us need to be around people like him.

Rest In Peace Chief!

I haven't been here a whole lot lately...couple years or so but I really do remember him as one of the nicest persons around this forum....
So sad indeed, may he R.I.P.

Not the outcome we were expecting. He was a breath of fresh air in a world of me first mentality we see every where today.

I wish I could have gotten to meet him.

My he find peace in the place beyond this life. In line with his Native Indian Heritage.

We never know what day will be out last. Make today better than it could have been, make a change in your life or the life of another, love your brother More than your selfish
nature.
