hutchenc it has a Dart shp block, Scatt forged crank, Callies Compstar 6" H beam rods, Keith Black 10.4 to 1 (flat top) Icon forged pistons. I ordered the cam from Bullet Cams and talked to Tim, gave him all the info on my build and this is what he came up with (btw great people to deal with) The specs @ .050 are 251 Intake and 254 Exhaust, lift is 621 Intake and 582 Exhaust and a 108 lobe separation (rockers on intake are 1.6 and exhaust is 1.5) The heads are AFR 210s 75cc out of the box. Intake is Edelbrock super victor intake with a 1" 4 hole spacer. Carb is a Chuck Nuytten 750 Holley built for this motor. He said an 850 would give more power but the 750 would have better street manners. The ign is a MSD E Curve. Total timing is 38 deg. initial is 18 coming in at 2800. Hope this helps. Btw it was run on 114 oct gas and Johnny said it would run better and make more power with 93 octain gas because the 114 gas was slow burning and for high compression engines and not oxygenated. Hope this helps. Thanks, John

NICE! I have an almost identical SHP but I have a smaller cam (240/238 at .050 with a little less lift, also on a 108), with AFR 220 heads, 11.3:1 compression, and mine is a 420. I also have EFI on mine, but I'm still dialing it in.

What does your engine idle at? With EFI mine is ok down around 850 which is pretty remarkable.

It runs fine at 850 rpm but I like it 1050/1100 rpm better. It hits pretty hard at 850 and at 1100 but at 1100 it sounds better to me so I'm going to leave it there. I like your combo I wish I would have built a 420 but was talked out of it so I'll try to enjoy what I have Thanks, John.

I drove mine with a poorly tuned 750cfm vac secondary carb...I don't think it was enough for the motor (I left the carb as it was on the 383 it came off of and I think it needed a lot more jetting).

When the secondaries would kick in it was a fun ride! It was substantially faster than a new (at the time) LS3 Corvette

Make sure you update us all once you get it in your car and are able to drive it...I think you'll like it
