Version 6.0.1, wow it's old (like me and my 56).
Maybe that is the issue, I think this version of Android is not supported by Google anymore.
Although I am far removed for being considered a knowledgeable guy when it comes to phones (or anything else according to my wife) I don't believe it can be updated.
One last thought we can come up with: Is this scroll happening only on threads you have previously read or also on new threads. Sometimes if you've already opened a thread the system will default to scroll you to the newest comment on that thread.
We are also working on a few larger updates and upgrades that aim to address functions like this, but I hope to be able to work through things now as we have no clear release date for the new stuff.
A few days ago my own phone started doing that stuff too, and it gets pretty aggravating. I wondered if maybe a new post is made while I was reading if that was forcing the posts back all the way to the top..??
i have noticed that as well...
usually only happens in threads with large pictures..
pictures take awhile to load, and when they do it seems to scroll back on its own..
when i use my iphone X..
i use my desk top most of the time anyway, when coming here..
Usually the loading of elements, especially large elements, will cause any software to lag for a moment. if this is only happening around the loading/unloading of certain page elements the only fix would be to allow the site to load before scrolling, or just scrolling slower to allow the website the appropriate time to load.
The only way I can duplicate this is when I try to scroll before photos or ads have a moment to load. If desired I can continue to poke at this if there seems to be more issues you, or other users, seem to be having.
