Default Torque Values Assy Manual Sect 5 Sh 4.00

Hi: I have an assembly manual for my 57. Can not read the torque code number on the flags of my drawing. I checked the copy in the Trifive library and they also are not legible.
Does anyone have a readable copy of sheet 4.00?
Thanks, Tom

I am concerned about getting the correct torque on the two pulley brackets on the firewall. Appreciate any comment.

You're referring to the drawing for the E-brake? The (7) is 12-16, the (8) is 10-14.

JMHO.....But, I don't think the torque on most of those parking brake system bolts is all that critical.....Neither the 55 or 56 Assembly Manuals have listings for torque values...See: https://www.trifive.com/garage/55%20C...Manual/5-5.gif and https://www.trifive.com/garage/56%20C...Manual/5-6.gif

I would just use normal prudence when tightening those bolts.

Ok. Thanks. I was primarily concerned about the bolt/shaft that the pully wheels rotate on. Don't want them too loose to fall off or to tight to cause binding of the wheels. Tom

The pulleys rotate on sholder bolts, so they can't be tightened enough to bind. Just use torque value for that size bolt. I think their 5/16 grade 5 so torque would be 14 ft lbs.

Thanks Acardon. Just came on to report that I found the info in the How to Restore a 57 book, page 88, Para, 6 thru 8.
I plan to mark info in my assy manual.

Did you not see my post giving the torque values as listed in the assembly manual?

Thanks. Yes I did. But that did not get me to what I needed. I could read that info on my drawing. I could not determine where to apply each value. Sorry I should have clearified that.

Default Section 5 Sheet 4.00 Markup

The attached shows what I used so far. One value is still unknown to me. Another, I took a guess based on reading the comments above. All the others I am certain that they are correct. The numbers appeared readable after taking the photo.
