NICE JOB OLDSKOOLSALT. WHAT MOTOR DID YOU DECIDE TO GO WITH?
THE COWL ON MINE IS GOING TO HAVE TO BE REDONE AS WELL AS A PORTION OF THE FLOOR BOARD. I'M DEBATING WEATHER TO REBUILD THE 235 OR GO WITH A CRATE MOTOR. MINE IS A COLUMN SHIFT 3 SPEED WITH OVERDRIVE. BY THE TIME I REPLACE THE SOLENOID AND KICK DOWN SWITCH AND GO THROUGH THE TRANSMISSION THE COST WILL BE EQUAL TO REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION WITH AN AUTOMATIC . SO STILL DEBATING THAT. IT WOULD BE COOL TO REVIVE THE OVERDRIVE BUT THE JURY IS STILL OUT ON THAT.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BUILD! KEEP THE PICTURES COMING. I WILL TRY TO DO THE SAME. NOW THAT THE WEATHER IS WARMING UP AND CPP HAS SHIPPED THE SPINDLES ,CALIPERS AND ROTORS IT WONT BE LONG AND I WILL BE MOVING ON TO THE CAB.
Got the rear brake shoes and emergency brake cables installed today. I will take the drums out to be turned and then I can get the wheels on it and roll her out of the lift bay. Next step is to install the power brake booster and new double master bowl master cylinder and get lines routed.[IMG][/IMG]
