I've given them a try on two separate "sale" items only to find upon check out that the shipping and handling made the part higher than buying at regular price from their competitors. They have a good selection but, so do their competitors. I'm done with them.

I have purchased some things from them and have had good luck. I do check all other suppliers and look for things like astronomical shipping costs as well as if it is on back order, I know many may not agree but I have had good luck, but buyer be aware.

A friend was a supplier to them... Key word, "was".
After being strung out 90-120, or longer, on payment, he put a stop to doing business w/ them.
It wasn't tri 5 parts, but mostly Corvette.
I stopped when the "club" sold out to them.

I'm in the middle of an issue with them now. Same part, ordered once, it was junk. They replaced, told me not to return bad part. Got the new one, it's broken in the bag! I called, told them I want a refund........I have to ship back at my expense. We'll see.

Thumbs up

Most of us have had problems with the vendors at one time or another..... I check to see if they have my part in stock first, the when I get it I check as close as possible ..... The best vendor I've used is Volunteer Corvette .....

Default Use

No reproduction quarter panels fit well and I doubt the OP's was stamped specifically for a four door hardtop, not a large market. Regardless everyone should only use that portion that's needed and only remove old metal that's necessary. There is no reason to have to the top of the quarter and remove that and the top of the fin. They are not factory replacements and can't be treated that way. Yes more welding but better looking job overall. The OP's body shop should have realized this and saved a lot of labor charges.

Of course it was months past their return policy, and they refused to do anything, even after escalating it. No offer of any discount on future purchases. My body shop charged hundreds extra for all the work needed to make it fit the car (the car was never hit, just rusted). So after years and many thousands of $, they will lose me as a customer, just as I need all new bumpers, all glass, and all trim. Smart move on their side? Just shows how clueless they are.
you said you will need trim DO NOT BUY AFTER MARKET TRIM I DONT CARE WHO YOU WILL BE BUYING IT FROM IT IS ALL TRASH GET ORIGINALS AND HAVE THEM RESTORED OR BUFFED FROM SOME ONE LIKE MIKEY , YOU WILL THANK ME LATER

It's not an Eckler's manufacturing issue, someone else makes them. They have been making 4 door HT specific rear quarters for a couple of years now, but they are terrible. That is why they are selling them off cheaply now. I'm not sure who stamped them, but there are threads on the way they fit. I really need new rear quarters, but I would be money ahead fixing mine over buying those from all of the reviews. Those of us with sport sedans are always going to be the red-headed stepchildren of the industry.
