In the past I've spoke with BTR about the two versions of the same part number lifter that they show on their web site. They are in fact the same lifter but their purchase path is much different. One is packaged per set from GMPP while the other they buy in bulk by the tray. The "X" version part number are $100 a set, which are actually cheaper than Jegs or Summit the last time I looked at them there. Of course either would price match BTR. BTR is scheduled to have them in stock early next week.

Ahh ok yeah the GMPP one is the kit hence the higher price I guess, as the are marked up.

I never bought the gmpp kit online, I just get them from local place. Paid like $5 each but that was a while ago. lol

Dang, forgot about them price matching. Yep, it was the bulk lifters that they listed out of stock, I asked when they expected them and the guy didn't know. Oh well, bought some off ebay that included the trays.

Trunnion upgrade now complete as well, simple job, just time consuming

Everything is buttoned up and ready to go, blower is just sitting there to check clearance, will have to install engine and then put on the blower & front accessories. Next thing up is to pull all the old stuff out of the '57

Don't think there's been anything "budget", or "drop-in/bolt in", for anything so far. Side motor mounts needed massaged, drivers header still needs more massaging, its hitting the steering rod to the rack. At least there's been some progress.
