This car is probably a decent, dry car, but it certainly needs EVERYTHING done. I wouldn't pay a cent over 20K for it.
One of my great fears is that after I pass on my wife will sell all my stuff for what I told her I paid for it............

We have all the legal papers if either of us die but I already took care of that by telling my wife & kids there is a letter & video in the safety deposit box with the info they will need to sell all of my stuff. My wife had made a comment once that she would just give most of my stuff away. I told her that she would be giving away her nest egg that would take care of her & the kids for the rest of their lifes. I update the info every year

Thanks for the input. I'm not a super-social guy...so social media BS for me, but I like hunting for parts. The guy was cool, once he spoke to me for 30-40 minutes he could tell I wasn't trying to rip him off on the parts I was interested in.

The best part of the day was hearing his story and there are not a whole lot of 57's out there that are same owner since 1966. I think that intrigued me more that the car its self. I had NO idea prices had come down that much. So when he said he would like to get as much as possible and said 50K, I was thinking Ok, that not for me.... but I was also thinking these cars bring 80K (restored) pretty easy. Clearly that's not the case. If I go back for more parts and he asks I'll let him know what the current market looks like and recommend Ebay.
