Will do, thatís the plan at this point. If someone gave me a free 9.3 pig Iíd have to pass my arms are like soggy noodles from hoisting the ones I have to many times. One last time coming soon.

News to me. I've had a lot of them apart and every one had friction coated clutches. The steels are the ones without ears, and the friction clutches have the ears on them to hold them.

That's new to me also...I've never had any 12 bolts. Just ten's and 9inch etc. I would atleast use somekind of magnetic drain plug with steel clutches.

So I had a pleasant conversation with Dave from Fabcraftmetalworks, needed to get to the bottom of things and he was more than happy to help me with what turned into a 20 minn conversation....... of course he explained in detail the mods to the new Trophy Track which is far superior to stock, but Iím not upgrading this one . Definitely something to consider on future build for sure

So after all that he sold me the gospel on the 9.3 for starters and told me proper length of axles I needed to match my 57 olds housing yes I was only grabbing the outer cups and not embedded in the main assembly, he did state they were steel clutches with slight hone or burnish marks and all was inspected and corrected per the Good Book worth my 40$ all day!

I contacted Dutchman and they had the 29 1/8 - 31 spline axles I needed built and ready in a week and a half , cost effective as well plus even though I didnít order with an access hole Iím glad they drilled one it was a handy help
These are some stout looking shafts thanks for the insight 1971BB427 never new they existed and their getting more money soon Iíll tell ya

So hereís the final fix thanks all for the trouble shooting, I should be bald now but your help and various direction from all angles from the start of this problem allowed me to maintain one still sweet Mulletí

Hey Bud : ) I'm just so sorry you've had to suffer through all this extra stuff !! I had some odd bother with my 9.3 as is noted before in this thread but nothing like what you have been tested with , so sorry : (
Got the feeling you are seeing the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel and the day you can putt on out and have some fun will over shadow all the sadness and distress : ) Through all I have been hoping for the best for you and so respecting your resilience and determination !! Was it me I might have pushed her out into the yard and set fire to it and drank some Jack in salute to the Viking funeral you SOB !!!!!!!

Those are some great looking axles! Glad you got it all together, and hope this fixes the weird slipping issues! Have you started it up and driven it yet with the new axles in it?
Glad Fabcraftmetalworks got you set up with the correct info so you could solve the issue!

Easyways, they say great minds think alike and I was close as ever from sending her to Valhalla but in this case I believe it had to have a more civil approach I couldnít let my neighbors off that easy. I learned a bunch and can mark it as donít trust second hand parts invest in new or repair and or inspect upon swap meet sales

1971bb427 I havenít had it out yet and as far as the installation I now cannot spin the rear tires while in gear so I say sheís ready for launch!

Need to top off fuel this weekend and do an around the block shakedown. Going to check and mark all bolts while in air , and rear is wet with fluid and fish juice

The forum attendees set the nail and Fabcraftmetalworks just drove it home .
Sure is handy having the ability to get help from around the world

Default Sheís fixed

Well weíre all together and ready for the trip to the bmv for tags and title work!
She took roughly two years to get here and wouldnít trade any of it for something different.... I cannot express enough for all the help and guidance with this build. My family has been understanding of the time and my juggling of all things DAD to get Still Runniní able to be complete and ready for some fun.

Breathing a sigh of relief that the axle fix was final piece

As for the first road trip to BMV Iím going to have my buddy who was here for the first unload of the pile of parts she used to be tag along . I remember decoding the Vin and saying Aaaah itís only a 150 he was sharp to say even better followed by do some homework on the Blackwidow and get back to me.

Yes I was Green on the Tri Five never thinking Iíd own one let alone 48k miles and second owner it is rare this day and age and Iím very appreciative!

Thanks again all who helped me and continue to do so
