Ok from someone that sells lifts 5'' of concrete is the norm 4'' will work in a pinch, when you drill the holes for the lag bolts be sure to drill all the way thru the floor so if you need to move the lift you can just drive them back in to the ground. Most people prefer to put the lift all the way in the garage so another car will fit behind it. The lift should be 12' from the wall in front or 10' from the workbench in the front of the lift.11'6'' limits you to a just few lift manufactures consider Atlas( not the best but it will fit )Consider putting the lift in parallel with the trusses leaving you enough room for a 12' lift which is more standard

I considered putting a lift parallel with the trusses but that would mean putting my 10' doors on the gable/peeked side, I need to keep my doors on the eve/overhang end were the water runs off. I have a 4"X 11"X 18' beam between each pole, it can hold the weight of a roll up door. If I put it on the gable/peek side I will have to build more structure for the weight. I can also later add 20 more feet to my barn and have the trusses built for max height for a lift. For now I will modify two trusses for extra height. See pic for my pole barn, I cut all my up right poles and beams from utility poles.
