This model was built by my late Father and I just had it returned to me by my cousin to Display in my Garage. Notice the attention to detail in the Shotgun, Shovel, Pick ax and Trunks.
Great memories of my Dad's Talent. :gba:
WOW!!! That looks very similar to the wagon we had when I was a kid. When you pushed the piece that connects to horse it would pull a chain that would turn a light on inside the wagon.
I am happy that my Dad's Art is reviving memories that brings Smiles.
This Piece shall be passed down to my Great Grandchild that I just found out about. Grandson Daniel and his Wife, Jessica are expecting!! Great Grampa Again.:congrats:
Bill married my Mother back in 1963 and took on raising Me and my Sister as his own. He was a WW II Navy Veteran and served on the Battle Wagon
USS Colorado. I date this Covered Wagon Model at around 1958-1960.
He made a Man of Me and taught me the Working Ethic that has gotten me through 61 Years of Life and Still to this day effects decisions I make.
I have several other Art Projects of his that I am as Proud of as this Lamp.
I will be Posting Some more of his Art in the near future.
Wind Chimes, Bird Houses and Model Trains to name a few.
Thanks to all the Members that appreciate the Passion that my Dad has Graced me with. He was a Hell of a Man! :gba:
Here is the Bird Condo Complex that Bill Trussell ( Dad ) was working on when he Passed away. My Wife completed the Paint and we display it on our Patio.
