Thanks RAGGAREN and John.

Haffrod, I was going to save that polishing job for when I was retired. I figured it would be a good retirement project for me, and I'd have all the time in the world to do it at my leisure. But, having seen the final product, I'm confident that letting the pro's do it was the right move.

I highly recommend Mirror Finish Polishing. This was my first experience with them, and they were nice and easy to work with, and considering the labor involved to do this kind of work, their prices are fairly reasonable. Go on their website, www.mirrorfinishpolishing.com and look through their galleries. These guys will polish anything to a mirror finish!

Looks Fantastic! That will surly brighten up the engine compartment!

Might consider Zoop sealing it. Think it is now called ShineSeal.
Will keep you from having to polish it.

It looks good on the engine, except for one thing.........it makes some other parts of the engine look shabby. I refuse to spend $2,000+ on a polished billet front runner setup, but I can send the alternator, the alternator bracket, and the throttle body out to Mirror Finish Polishng. I can polish the AC compressor and AC bracket pieces myself. I purchased an aluminum PS reservoir to replace the black plastic one, and it will get polished, too.

That's the problem with chrome shiney stuff. One thing leads to another and on and on....

Like the squirrel storing nuts......never can have too many/much.

It does look so nice, like a cherry on top...just chrome!

Wow Dave!!!!
I'm checking your build after couple years and gotta say that you have set the bar even higher and higher! The patience you have for details is just out of this world.
I have no words to say how much I admire your project...

I mocked up the Raingear and fabbed up mounting and support brackets for the VA evaporator. I hooked up a battery to the Raingear, to make sure it doesn't hit anything while it runs.
