It has been months that I have been working on my 95 Chevy pickup trying to fix a sputtering, misfiring, no hot start problem. I have taken so much time and money away from my 55 restoration, that instead of getting the 55 on the road this fall, I will need until next year to have it, for the most part, all done. But here I am, working on that 95 week after week. I got it idling without stalling, sputtering or misfiring. But, and there is always a but when it comes to my truck. I have to find out now why its idling up and down. Not excessive, but enough to drive me crazy. It starts, but not right away. I scoured the net, looking for those who have the same problems and there are so many people with the same problems. I will eventually have it running to my satisfaction, then I will sell it. No computer cars. Going to the 55's to 74's trucks. No cats, no pollution junk, sensors, and no friggin computers. I just need a 350ci or 396ci or 454ci, heat and air, automatic. That's it. A nice daily driver and no trailer queens.
It dosent have a vacuum leak does it? I admire your willingness to stick with it. I often tell my wife that if something happens to my truck that I'd like an old Nova with a 283, a 5 speed, and some vintage air for my next daily driver. I'm tired of all the electrical doo dads too.
