The bottom line here is that to my knowledge CPP has not put out any kind of statement that they are now selling pitman arms that are safe and worth using, let alone any kind of info that attempts to prove that. If they are selling pitman arms with a bolt on ball stud it is not well known.
CPP has a long history of inferior products and bad customer service. Their one good product has been the CPP500 steering boxes, and even those are getting a tarnished rep. Personally I'll never knowingly buy another CPP product.
ONLY if it is within their listed recall dates. Mine was purchased way before those dates (read below) and they said it was OK, I still have the receipt for it. You look at the picture I posted and make up your own mind if it was OK or not.
CPP part number #5557PA-M Manual Steering Pitman Arm for 1955-57 Chevy Car purchased, received separately, or as a component of specific steering kits (listed below) between June 2015 and December 2016. Some inconsistencies in the manufacturing process have been discovered and have raised serious concerns about the integrity of the pitman arm supplied during that time. Your pitman arm could have been purchased directly through CPP or through a stocking authorized dealer below."
