Default ** Blueprint engine

Im considering a crate engine from Blueprint out of Nebraska. Has anyone had experience with company? I want the basic 350 with Vortec heads and roller cam. Estimated at 370 H.P. with 400 lbs, torque. Great price and free shipping.
I have a choice of just the long block or for an extra $400 they will include the harmonic balancer, intake, and distributor. These last three parts are not name brand and I was told they come from over the water. They list them as Blueprint parts. What would you do if the choice was yours. I believe from the research I've done they are a great company to deal with and a great track record. Thank you.

I've heard nothing but good things about Blueprint engines. Never bought one myself, but wouldn't be afraid to either. With free shipping, very enticing. As for the parts, probably hard not to find something from over the water, but I would forego them and do my own research hoping to find American made someplace, Carmine.

Default Blueprint Engine

I also considered Blueprint and several others. I bought 383 Stroker from Smeding Performance. Easy decision after comparison. Itís a torque monster. Dyno: 460 hp, 479 fp torque

Currently running a BP 383 stroker and have found it to be an excellent choice. Lots of power and torque but most of all has proven to be very reliable. Customer service is awesome and they stand behind their product.

Same here...the engine was in my 56 when I bought it, and they have treated me like the original purchaser; their tech support is very responsive. Couldn't be happier.

To your second question, I would forget about the balancer, intake and distributor and get your own, as I can't see any real added value from purchasing these items from them.

Good luck!

I installed a 302 complete from air cleaner to oil pan in my uncles 51 and very happy with it. Runs strong and sounds great. Been running for 2 years and 15,000 miles with no problems. Only had to replace the accelerator pump 2 weeks ago, so Iím very happy with it too.

Consider the offerings from Year-One, not the easiest site to navigate, but if memory serves they sell a warrantied 350 sbc ~400hp/400ft-lbs for around 3,100. If I didn't build my own I would look into that engine.
