I'm looking for some photos of Doug D353 headers with a CPP 500 box. Any pics with info regarding stock or side mounts and any modifications rear would be much appreciated.

Here you go.

I had Competition Engineering side mounts at the time (moved engine a little forward). I had to grind on the box a little to get them to clear, but not a big deal.

I have the ability with the earl williams mounts to move forward 3/4 " so, I may give that a try. I'm still mocking up the drive train and have the ability to make those changes.

Thanks for sharing

Won't Earle's mounts also allow you to move the engine to the side some?

Yep, the allow 3/4" side to side and you can also flip the mounts to move the engine forward 3/4".

Are there any disadvantages to having the engine 3/4 off center?

Not really unless it causes a clearance problem. Watch out for the passenger side header hitting the frame (probably won't). If you move the engine over, move the transmission mount on the crossmember over too so that the engine/trans centerline is parallel to the frame centerline. This will keep from screwing up the u-joint angle. Moving the engine off center in a parallel offset does not screw up the u-joints.

Are you running an auto or stick transmission?

I'm thinking you shouldn't have a problem in that case.
